Noir Fest in Courmayeur

Marco and Antonio Manetti, or the Manetti Bros as they are known, gave me a great tip to come up to the Courmayeur Noir Fest in the Aosta Valley. While the winter wind chilled us, and the snow coated the city and streets with a dusty white, the dark side of cinema was being shown inside the theatre at the Centro Congressi.
I got to see the fun 70s blacksploitation tribute by Scott Sanders, “Black Dynamite” with a wonderful finale that let’s us see Richard Nixon get what is coming to him.
Federico Zampaglione directed a scary survivor film with a message, “Shadow”.
Manetti Bros at the Noir Fest
The Manetti Bros film le “Cavie” made one morning horrific.
After a bit of time in this environment I started to feel like the Continental Op on a ski weekend.
